Cannabidiol Achieves Seizure Control in a Patient with White-Sutton Syndrome
A published case report describes a girl with White-Sutton Syndrome (WSS) whose seizures did not respond to six different standard anti-seizure medications. After starting off-label cannabidiol (CBD) treatment, she became completely seizure-free. When her parents stopped CBD against medical advice, seizures returned, but restarting CBD again brought successful seizure control. The authors call for further research into CBD as an add-on therapy for drug-resistant epilepsy in people with WSS.
