Sensory Abnormalities in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Their In Vitro Modeling
This review examines sensory processing abnormalities commonly seen in autism spectrum disorder (ASD), which often significantly affect daily life. The authors also explore how laboratory (in vitro) models can be used to study the biological basis of these sensory differences. This work is relevant to White-Sutton syndrome, as POGZ variants are associated with ASD features including sensory sensitivities.
